You only live once. A brutal pill not talked about at all. This is the existential pill most people avoid swallowing because it tastes like despair, but ignoring it doesn't make it less true. This is your only life. There is no proof of an afterlife or of reincarnation. You have been dealt your cards. You can't change your genetics. You can't change where you were born. You can't ever go back and change the past. You can't change your childhood experiences. One day you'll be on your death bed and that's gonna be it. And after some time the whole world will forget you.
Even looks won't make people remember you after some time. This even applies to celebrities and even famous people from history eventually. Billions and billions of people just from the last 200 years have been forgotten. Erased like they never even existed. If life is short, fragile and ultimately forgettable what can you do? There isn't a definitive answer however I would say while you're here try to ascend as much as possible and enjoy life or at least the parts you can. There isn't any true meaning to life, the closest we have is to have good offspring and a good enjoyable life.
