I understand what you mean but it's not about domination. It is about them literally not caring about their significant other's height as much as short(er) women do.

When I am outside I see tall women with shorter guys all the time and I am not living in a country where there are no tall men.
Out of all the women I have been with only 2 have been tall and I met them out of accident and they didn't pre-select me because of my height. They had all dated shorter men too before me.
