I see a lot of people that think theyre the same thing and dont know the difference so ill explain it
Tan:
Melanin production in skin caused after uv exposure.
Makes you darker
Easy to notice
Undertones:
Pigments (carotenoids) that are deposited into the top layer of the skin.
Gives you subtle yellow/orange/red glow
Harder to notice (you cant really see in cool lighting)
Imo slight tan and good undertones is ideal skin colouring
