Tanner stages are the stages of puberty that you go through, and determines your growth.
the age range is based on the average persons puberty, you can be in a different tanner stage, depending on when you entered puberty.

Tanner 1 (Pre-puberty, ~before 10 years old) ~25-30 cm left

Tanner 2 (Early puberty, ~11 years old) ~20-25 cm left

Tanner 3 (Mid-puberty, ~13 years old) ~10-20 cm left

Tanner 4 (Late puberty, ~14 years old) ~2-10 cm left

Tanner 5 (Full maturity, ~15+ years old) ~0-2 cm left (mostly done)

more signs of each tanner stage, provided by chat gpt:

Tanner 1 (Pre-puberty, before ~10-11 years old)

  • No pubic hair
  • Testicles are small (<2.5 cm in length)
  • Penis is child-sized, no growth
  • No facial or body hair
  • No significant voice changes
  • Growth rate is slow (~5 cm/year)

Tanner 2 (Early puberty, ~11-13 years old)

  • First noticeable change: Testicles enlarge (>2.5 cm)

  • Very light pubic hair appears at the base of the penis (soft, sparse, straight)
  • Penis may slightly increase in length but not much
  • Sweat and body odor increase
  • Some boys experience mild gynecomastia (chest puffiness)
  • Growth rate increases (~6-8 cm/year) but still moderate

Tanner 3 (Mid-puberty, ~13-15 years old)

  • Peak height growth (~8-12 cm/year)
  • Testicles continue enlarging (3.5-4.5 cm)

  • Final broadening of shoulders & chest
  • Some experience a last mild case of gynecomastia, but it usually disappears

Tanner 5 (Full maturity, ~17+ years old)

  • Growth plates fuse → No more height growth
  • Testicles, penis, and scrotum fully developed

Im 18 and I’m still growing. I was 178 last I checked but now folks I knew who are 187-190 seem way shorter then they used to be. I was shocked when I saw my old friends from before. Raw milk really saved me

Thats why I didn't grow much after 14-15

If your estradiol based genes, estradiol levels, ER-alpha activity etc. are average the tanner stage is almost perfectly accurate
