1 understanding tattoos
Understand that tattoos are permanent. Ink is basically injected into your body which your lymph nodes will have to deal with. They can hold personal, cultural, or aesthetic significance to someone.
2 choosing a tattoo design
This is the hardest part, when you start researching on what u wanna get it can feel like an endless loop. FEAR NOT, I'll be helping you kind sir.
First off, what's your overall vibe?
What kind of person are you?
What would you be described as by people u hold dear?
Are you known to go outside the norms?
Are you afraid to challenge these social norms?
Obviously if you're a kind, nerdy dude you should NOT get goth tats unless u wanna turn your whole vibe around.
These are some questions you should consider before choosing a definitive design.
There's a vibe for every tattoo, subconsciously tattoos will put u in a certain category. If you decide to go with a gothic tattoo for example, you will be seen as an outsider by normies. If you get a socially accepted tattoo, a regular normie sleeve or a lion for example, it'll be perceived 'better' by the general normie cuck public.
Tattoos are in my opinion the easiest way to present yourself. They can either halo you insanely hard or they can failo you and make you look like an absolute retard.
Let me introduce you to some tattoo styles :

3 Finding a tattoo artist
This is an important step. Do not go over this one lightly. Every tattoo artist has a style they have mastered better than the other. If you decide to go with fine line tattoos, find an artist who specializes in this area. Also make sure their reputation and client reviews are generally good. U don't want some washed up 20 yr old skaterboy to tattoo you.
Make sure your artist knows what he's doing, go over your design and ideas with him in detail. DO NOT JUST GO WITH THE FLOW. Plan it out perfectly, for your own peace of mind and direction for the artist.
4 Preparing for your tattoo
Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment. Pick clothes that'll make the tattoo location easily reachable. Also eat a good meal before going. Obviously some raw meat and milk
Other than that, not much u can do. Don't stress about it, if you've followed the first few steps u should be confident in your design and your artist. The pain isn't that bad. People often exaggerate the pain u experience. Ofc it depends on the person but most ppl are fine. The first few minutes might hurt a bit but it quickly turns into just a quick pinch.
5 During the tattoo session
Try to stay calm, just listen to your artist and follow his lead (good boy). Don't worry or stress about it. It WILL look cool asfuck. If you're a pussy and have incredible amounts of pain, just fucking breathe nigturd. Just don't be a pussy innit.
Some tattoos can take a while and some are done in 15 minutes. Just remember that YOU chose this and the end result is worth every second.
6 Aftercare
Always listen to your artist's instructions for aftercare. A tattoo is basically an open wound that requires healing.
I and many friends of mine found it is beneficial for your tattoo to just let it rest. Apply some cream 2-3 times a day and let it rest. Wear some breathable clothing and take as many pics as u can cuz this shit be mogger asf.
AVOID going in the sun too long with a fresh tattoo and also don't oversoak it in water (aka baths, jacuzzis, ...)
I recommend for u to just not wash it at all and just apply some ointment.
DO NOT apply cream that has perfume in it.
I personally apply beef tallow on it thrice a day.
7 Things to consider
Tattoos are permanent, be sure of your choice. Do not take this decision lightly.
Tattoos can also be really expensive, depending on what design and size. Don't pick the cheapest option cuz quality tattoos are worth the money. Be sure to get it done by a professional.
Some tattoos also require some touch-ups after healing, the end result after a tattoo might not be completely what you want it to be but some changes can always be made.
