Let's set the wayback machine to the Fall semester of 2009 (my 1st semester of college)
I had this classmate Weston who would stay up until 6 am partying on the weekends.
I, on the other hand, never attended a single party in all of college (and when Weston asked why I didn't party, I flat out told him I don't want to mess up my sleep schedule)
Based on Weston's demeanor vs my demeanor our 1st semester of college, you might think he ended up amounting to nothing (and you might think I amounted to lots)
Yet here we are at age 34, Weston is a doctor. I make less than 40k per year.
In retrospect, Weston wasn't a burnout or a bad kid for partying until 6 am on the weekends in 2009. He was just a normal 18 year old.
My non-partying (and my rigidity about a sleep schedule) didn't mean I was "better" than him. It just meant I was an abnormal autist.
His normality (and my autism) is why he ended up being way more successful than me.
