I live in California and there's tons of Indians in my hometown, it's literally curry central. However, it's the Bay Area and where most of the tech jobs are so it's to be expected.

Tbh I don't really live in SF, I live pretty far east from the city. But there's no notable cities so everyone here just likes to say we're in the "Bay Area". It is crazy expensive to live in this area tho, so that's why so many of the tech workers come here. That's why this place lacks diversity.

It is really ironic because that is literally one of the few ways to get a house if you're not inheriting one. If you have kids the government will give you a council house which you can then eventually buy after a few years. .In the 80s the government was selling flats at a really low rate to tenants, and now they're worth a fortune. It's called right to buy, and Indians and Pakistanis especially made a lot from it.
