The left eye result actually looks impressive. (Try covering her right eye and observe)
Its the right one that looks uncanny.
It seems to be more protrusive and has more PCT than the left eye. (Look how the outer half or outer scleral triangle of her right eye slants further upwards than her left eye)
Or it could just be due to swelling.
Perhaps it evened out after the swelling.
How long after the procedure was the photo taken?
Considering her starting point, this is actually an impressive result. The left eye atleast.

I'd assume that the surgeons simply strives to obtain the result the patient wants.
These women most likely wanted "fox eyes" or "cat eyes" or whatever the fuck they call it.
They even call it "fox eye surgery" which is an umbrella term for a variety of procedures inlcluding cantho ofc to obtain the "fox eye look" jfl

The main attributes that contributes to the uncanny effect are too much retraction of the lower lid and too much PCT. But its mainly the lower lid tightness caused by too much retraction that gives the uncanniness.
Ideally, the lower lid shouldn't cover the iris

Even supermodels with top tier eyes don't have that much lower lid tightness that's seen in the uncanny surgery results I'm replying to.
Chico is slightly squinting w his left eye but the right one is completely relaxed. See how the lower lid barely even touch the iris.

canthoplasty look very natural if done properly

people just dont make the difference between canthoplasty, a lift of some sort and lower eyelid retraction
