Terrible Family, advice?

My dad is a deadbeat who moved away and has anger issues that I sadly got from him myself, and my mom is a drug addict who is a deadbeat as well. My house is disgusting and most of the time we can't afford to pay the bills so I don't have electricity or water sometimes, same with groceries so I have to go hungry at times. My little brother is a fucking idiot but I love him I guess so I prioritize him a lot and try to keep him away from my fucked up parent's bullshit.

Any advice? Honestly when I turn 18 I'm gonna just ditch everything and the only communication I'll have is with my brother and I'll send him money because I know my parents won't. I guess at least I have a cool dog.

I'm on path or plan to become a Paramedic Firefighter or do something revolving around bio-chem so luckily I don't think money will be an issue later in my life (hopefully)

Get a job / income ASAP so you can leave whenever you want.

But it'd be naive to cut them off or ditch; no matter what having a support network (home) to fall back to if anything goes wrong is ideal. Even if you hate them just tolerate them for cheap shelter

my dad has moved away so i'm not worried about him that way, i'm more worried he wont be fed and will have shitty living circumstances because of my jobless addict mother

dont feel bad ik its hard not to but if they can manage to get drugs then they can manage to get food right now you should be focusing on making money and trying to help ur brother out

Get a job, try to get on welfare if that’s possible, child protection services, anything. Good luck.
