Dude this is so fucking annoying. Since when is it common practice to have nurses stay in the room during a doctor appointment the whole time? This has happened too many times to me. I'll be at a doctor's office to treat an embarrassing problem and it becomes super awkward and demeaning when the cute, ntmaxxed, 22 yr old nurse asks me about my stupid medical history and why I'm seeing the doctor. Then she stays in the room while the dr questions me.
E.g. This happened yesterday when I went to my dermatologist to looksmax for better skin and hair. I'm a leanmaxxed HTN so the slim blond becky acted so bubbly and friendly when she greeted me. Then she started asking about various skin conditions I've had. I was thinking why tf am I here having to explain my subhuman genes to this girl who's probably never had to deal with any of the shit I've gone through. My life is a joke.
"So how's your hair loss going?" she asked me. (I have a full head of hair but need fin to keep it). I almost tried to deny it and say that it shouldn't be in my records, but figured it would be an obvious lie. She knew I had subhuman balding genes. Over.
Then the doctor came in, and I had all these aspie questions prepared about fixing my skin issues, but I suddenly didn't want to ask them. My voice gave away how flustered and awkward I felt because of talking about this stuff in front of a girl. I couldn't hide my abused-dog mentality.
The doctor left at the end, and the nurse stayed to go over my prescriptions and I noticed a change. Though she still sounded cheery and friendly, there was a deadening of her eyes when she looked at me - a dull expression that signaled to me that I had just nuked any attraction she initially might've had towards me. I was crushed.
When I went to the front desk to make a follow-up appointment, I had to talk to another girl who NTmogged me to the shadow realm. She looked at me like I was a weirdo as I awkwardly stammered through some questions about my insurance while barely maintaining eye contact. I was so defeated by this whole experience that I just wanted to go home. She ended the interaction by saying "you're good to go!" and gave me a thumbs up. I hate it when hyper-nt people act like "uh, lol don't be nervous" cuz they don't understand what it's like to be trapped in an autist's mind.
@Amnesia how do you deal with awkward looksmaxing questions in front of nurses? You must've faced this during your surgeries. Or is it different because you're chad
