A good 3/4 view is what makes you look good in real life. Even if your maxilla is recessed, it's still possible to look supermodel tier from the front in a photograph if your other features are good enough. But you won't actually be attractive - Step into real life (or a movie set) and that illusion is quickly decimated. Real life (and movies) is not in 2D, so if your face isn't forward grown enough, it will not have the depth to look good in more than one angle
If you have an underbite and have good other features, chances are you only look good from the front. From the 3/4 view you probably look uncanny, unaesthetic, and non-NT. This is why jaw surgery is so vital in that case.
Frontal view is extremely important. 3/4 view is super important. Side profile is NOT important, but a good side profile will massively increase the odds that you do have a good 3/4 view.
