Hark, what tragedy hath befallen our land,
A day of sorrow that none shall withstand.
Upon the eleventh of September fair,
A horrid deed, beyond compare.
The skies were blue, the sun shone bright,
But evil lurked, with great spite.
Two towers stood, proud and tall,
But alas, they were to fall.
Twas the work of villains, wicked and bold,
Who sought to bring our great nation to hold.
They hijacked planes, with passengers aboard,
And crashed them into the towers, with great discord.
The world watched in horror, as the towers fell,
A sight that none could bear to tell.
The streets were filled with smoke and ash,
A scene of destruction, a tragic clash.
Many lives were lost, on that fateful day,
Families shattered, and hearts in dismay.
First responders rushed to aid,
Heroes born, in the midst of the raid.
The nation mourned, but did not break,
Resilience shown, with every step we take.
United we stand, we will not falter,
For our love of freedom, we will not alter.
May the memory of those lost, forever remain,
A reminder of the strength we gained.
And may we continue to stand tall,
In the face of adversity, and never fall.
God bless The United States of America
