You might be thinking: White people have an advantage because many people want white men.
But it’s more than that. It’s not just pictures that women observe. It’s your real life facial expressions whether in person or on video. Now here’s the problem with that. The human brain judges facial expressions based on familiarity. Who are the most familiar kinds of people you see on TV? White people and black people. To a smaller extent, Hispanic people.
You don’t see many Indians or Asians and every race’s facial expressions (the way they look when they smile, laugh, etc) is DIFFERENT. Due to less familiarity, people will always find you odd even if you look good in pictures. Black people got lucky because they’ve now had decades of prominence in the media, otherwise everyone would be calling their facial expressions odd too.
