Two options really... AI will eventually replace everyone so you should just stop worrying cause everyone is as fucked as you. Or it will have an IQ cap on it and require either unique physical jobs with coordinated movements or you will need to do original work.

So just make sure what you do is either physically complex or requires originality. And if you want to cope with muh singularity well in this scenario everyone is fucked and it will be interesting nonetheless. If you were going to rot anyways I guess you now have an excuse with AI.

Those are the two possibilities either everyone is fucked or there will still be jobs that require innovative thinking. Every code job rn in jeopardy is something I could have paid an Indian to do. Most people worried about this have no skillset beyond copy and pasting.

Well if thats the case there is nothing you can do. Its the same as fixating on death 24/7 just not very helpful.

It depends. Like Web Dev for example in the early 2000's it was seriously a cutting edge skill. If you could code you basically were above everyone in content creation. Nowadays anyone can get a website with 50 bucks and the code to do this stuff is all open source.

But if you are doing things that are constantly changing that's not the case. A lot of Web Devs just copy and paste all day without any clue how the code works so chatgpt is a step up.

Physical jobs I believe will be automated in a decade or it will start. People have this false idea that they are going to make humanlike robots but what is more likely is they will have to change the very infrastructure of a lot of places. Rather then make some robot with human movemements it makes more sense to redesign the entire system. Everything that needs to be repaired today is built with the concept that human will do maintence on it. But why not just redesign it entirely? With self driving cars they could already be a thing in every state the biggest factor is humans on the road more then likely they will make self driving lanes. You don't need really much planning if every car on the road is self driving and has a universal software code of standards the biggest X factor is humans.

So it will probably take a lot of clever planning but most things today could be automated if you redesign things. Hell people talk about self driving cars but look at Japan less then 10% of people own cars and its got a more efficent transportation system then anything in America. Things will just be built with the intention that a robot would maintain it. Japanese train station works like clock work everyday and its all run by a computer because the nation is built around these metro stations.

But you won't see humanoid robots not anytime soon maybe sex bots.
