If we’re counting non white hispanics, Asians, Arabs, indians

It’s about 5’6” for the average man

Let’s say Korean averages 5’9” and Filipino averages 5’3”, that comes to 5’6”

That sounds about right.

If you actually mean the average height and not median height you gotta consider China and India skewing the numbers because of their huge population.

Worldwide including Caucasian and African people a man's average height is 5ft 8in (1.73 meters).

I’m 5’11” and feel tall-ish in normal spaces

Back when I used to go to parties and bars in college, I felt short in those places

You're probably right. There are probably a couple of factors at play.

1. Younger people are taller (plus taller people die faster) so the average is pushed down by the elderly.
2. Men who are tall "do better" in clubs in terms of social interaction, so it's more enjoyable by them and thus go.
3. You are probably more likely to notice someone taller than you than someone shorter than you. Clubs are areas of intense social competition and people taller or bigger than you are seen as threats by your billion year old lizard brain. Your brain consolidated insane amounts of data and only focuses on the important parts.

The third point might be disconcerting (I mean you SEE people who are taller than you at the club you're not crazy) but go to a grocery store or a library where you aren't expected to perform socially and you will notice a lot of men shorter than you. This is probably where 50-60% of the effect comes from.
