I live in NYC, and the average height is definitely not 5'9". People who say 5'9" as the average are just coping. Unless you’re surrounded by a lot of grandmas and grandpas, 5'9" is rarely the average here. According to Google, the average height for men in NYC is 5'9.8", and this includes people from various backgrounds and older individuals. If you analyze the data further, the average height for white men in the city would likely be around 5'11". For younger guys, it’s probably 5'11.5" or taller. So, most people here, whether white or black, would be taller than 5'10". Does anyone disagree?
