Quick Guide on Alternate Day Fasting for fat loss since I haven’t seen too much about it on the forum.

If you’re a fat ass, or someone who likes to eat large meals, instead of tiny meals spaced throughout the day, Alternate Day Fasting (ADF) is the best method.

Why get lean quickly instead of slowly?
You want to get leanmaxing over and done with ASAP, even if you are young, so you can get back into an anabolic state again faster, without being fat. Being in a prolonged deficit will stunt your growth, in comparison to doing it quickly, and you get results much slower. So, leanmax as fast as possible so you can start eating in slight surplus (is growing is your concern)

According to this study Alternate Day Fasting is superior to daily calorie restriction. With Daily Caloric Restriction people lost on average 75% fat mass and 25% muscle mass, however for Alternate Day Fasting it was 90% fat, 10% muscle.

How To Do Alternate Day Fasting.
Eat at your maintenance calories, or there about, one day, then fast the next day and repeat. Simple as.

So, say your maintenance is 2000 calories;

Day 1: Eat 2000 calories
Day 2: Eat nothing
Day 3: Eat 2000 calories
Day 4: Eat nothing

alternatively, if you were gonna cut on say 1200 calories a day, repeat the above process but instead of eating 2000 calories on the eating day, eat 2400 calories.

What to do once your done leanmaxing
Once you’ve reached your fat loss goal, start eating one meal a day, and eventually transition back to eating at maintenance.

What should I eat on eating days
This method will still work if you just eat shit and goyslop as long as you don’t go over calories, but obviously not recommended. CICO isn’t the whole picture. Someone who eats 2000 calories of sugar on their eating day will not have the same body composition as someone who eats 2000 calories of high protein and fats. So i’d recommend sticking to meats, eggs etc on your eating days due to high animal fat content, high protein and high nutrient density.

This is the fastest method to drop body fat, you will get the benefits of intermittent fasting, and you get to look forward to larger meals.

Yeah, same thing really though may not get the benefits of intermittent fasting, but for just fat loss it doesn’t make a world of difference.

This may be a good approach if the hunger is too much in the non eating days, though over time you will adapt and will become more bearable.

the fact is that i cant fast , i always have to when i wake up to have atleast something to eat to feel good . even if its 500 calories , then i can starve the other half of the day

Indeed dead forum. Literally nothing useful on here, I mainly look at threads from 2020/2021, users were higher IQ and not 12 years old.

Alternate Day fasting is BS. you will starve your body 1 day and eat normally the other day? That isn't healthy and will mess up your hormones! Quote some studies so I can do some research on this.

BS, you can get all the nutrients you need to grow in a slight deficient without actually hurting your growth, if you do your BS method you'll actually stunt your growth and mess with your hormones

not a good way to get lean imo unless you are doing keto on your eating days.
alternating between eating and not eating and putting your body in and out of ketosis repeatedly will torture your body with starvation and hunger cues

i am in ketosis 99% of the time so doesn’t really matter for me personally

What do you fill the 1200 calories with food wise? I’m basically just eating meat, eggs etc rn but probably need to add some more volume to my meals to get more satiated

Eggs, pre made salads (basically just salad with some type of meat and sauce, usually only 300kcal per pack which is insane for the amount of volume u get fills u up easily), tuna cans, meats, and zero sugar drinks

Have you tried drinking 1L of milk after a meal? It makes my stomach so bloated every time and It’s one of the only times where I actually lose appetite

If it’s truly over for your discipline and hunger just get Semaglutide or some shit so you don’t have to chug 1k calories of milk.

If your over 18 i think it’s pretty safe for you to leanmax tbh. I also don’t think a 1 month aggressive cut would do anyone much harm tbh. Lowering bf would allow for a better hormonal profile (less estrogen etc), and I think if it’s done quickly you can return to an anabolic state much faster, in comparison to prolonged catabolic state with 500 calorie deficit. If someone has bf to lose i would always preach aggressive cut over prolonged small deficit imo.

The day I do eat, does the time matter? Or does it have to be after 12 PM?

Cutting (losing fat) won't directly stunt your growth as long as you're eating enough nutrients. You can get the nutrients required while being in a deficient, look up what actually causes you to stunt your growth, the main thing is not enough sleep/

Doesn’t matter.

This method is good if you literally want to eat whatever you want for the meal, regardless of its a pizza or anything else. I usually do it if I know I will be going out to eat with friends and don’t want to restrict myself within calorie intake when eating with them. Even if you consumed 3k calories for that singular meal, it will still average out to 1.5k calories a day over those 2 days, which will be a deficit.

That’s what I do if IK i’m going out. Typically day to day i’ll just eat one meal high protein, good amount of fat, and no carbs. Allows me to feel full for a full 24 hours. If i feel slight hunger before the 24hours is up, drinking some water solves it. I usually have the meal at around 8pm, allowing it to digest and since it’s high in protein, requires more energy to digest (since protein has high thermic effect) so will make you feel more tired and sleep better. My energy levels are great in the morning all the way up to the meal time again. I train in gym and walk fasted. A few days of this will also get rid of any sugar cravings you have (can’t use diet soda for that to happen either). I usually just eat 750g-1kg of beef with butter and call it a day. Tastes very good. I look forward to mealtime daily and is effortless leanmaxing.
