I wouldn't particularly say you'll reach your absolute potential by just reading BOTB.
I'm on page 1092 as I'm writing this and there's quite a ton more to cover than just BOTB.
From my experience, BOTB has 70% of what you need while I'm cramming those last 30% by reading this whole forum.
