If you stop to think about it it's plain amazing how they gradually introduced all these ideas which were foreign to 99.9% of human civilizations during history and they somehow ACHIEVED the ultimate psy-op which is to make people believe that actually, they were the ones who demanded it and accepted it, and that they were not enforced upon them.

Look at the slow change in thinking between ancient generations and the extremely fast paced that is happening with the current ones. Nowadays an average grandfather has opposite beliefs than his grandchildren, however this was barely the case in the past unless an empire or ideology took over. If you learn about older civilizations you would easily find a pattern that moral change didn't come up so quickly and abruptly in one single society which has not been invaded by another empire or nation. Even if they falled into some sort of health crysis like the Plague during the middle ages society pretty much stayed the same and only changed in few tweaks here and there.

Sexual exposure in public scenarios is one of the best examples of this. So during thousands of years people were in the majority of advanced empires dressing modest (From East America advanced nations to West Asian empires) yet somehow they went from 0 to a 100 in a matter of, what? 150 years? And with their grandparents and great grandparents having completely different views on the subject? Come on now. It's even crazier when you realize that the possibility of meeting your grandparents alive back then was way lower than nowadays which meant less possibilities of preserving their values, which makes it even crazier to think that their values aren't preserved nowadays.

Surely i'm missing several factors in this. For example one could counter saying "Well, people back then were poorer and had less time and power to think where society needed to go". Dumbass, if you think the average citizen word on "where society should head into" ever had an ounce of value you must have an account on reddit. This stuff is being promoted and was being promoted in straight some of the biggest dictatorships in recent history. F OFF MY THREAD NOW!

The biggest force to blame is capitalism and the interest economy based system under my point of view, but i don't believe it is the only ones. However i must admit that the capitalist interest system is based heavily on extreme hedonism, so at the same time we can't just lift any sense of blame that may fall upon us. At the end of the day it is our own desires and addictions that made the system thrive. The devil can tempt you as much as he wants and by all means possible but at the end of the day as a person who believes both in predestination and in it's compatibilism with free will every individual can choose his path, and we are not blameless on what has befalled upon us.

The end point is that once the entire blame or responsibility is put into the average normal citizen and he is convinced by that narrative you can't really blame anyone outside of yourself and therefore you will not do so because it would be self humilliation, both perceived by yourself and others around you who hold the same beliefs. However my argument is based on that although we have a great share of the blame, it would have never occurred if two parties were not involved and the most benefited one didn't start it.

I think the best counter one could make is the extreme growth of the population and the subsequent advance in technology.

I have heavy mixed feelings about it though.

I donโ€™t even need to say it

if you chip away at the sewer system slowly, then it begins to leak...eventually the city will be flooded with sewage, the generation born in that sewage will believe they are species that is supposed to swim in sewage.
