hardship doesn't necessarily make you tougher, on average it will turn you into a beaten dog like picrel. For this reason I think the moralisation of suffering really needs to be obliterated from the manosphere. There is no prize just because you "done things the hard way", aside from cortisol.

Born in hell. Forged from suffering. Hardened by pain.

by character they mean becoming good at keeping composure in stressful situations, that adaption happens automatically.

Similar to how people become desensitized to gore or porn or stress response from cold showers.

It doesn’t necessarily mean you will do something about it, you just become less emotionally reactive to hardship.

If done correctly, long term SUFFERING or just absolutely DROWNING yourself in BRUTAL REALITY will literally turn you MENTALLY INVINCIBLE. The worst thing to be is a piece of COAL who decided to feel the PRESSURE but then STOPPED halfway -- you must FULLY EMBRACE the UTTER COMEDY of human existence and go ALL THE WAY to turn into an UNBREAKABLE DIAMOND.

That's YOUR problem -- the one who CRIES and SCREAMS in the FLAMES knows nothing but MISERY, but the one who DANCES and LAUGHS in the FLAMES is simply UNSTOPPABLE.

if you are not truly low iq it doesnt take much to realise that life is suffering for all everyone is coping in some way or the other
its only the low iq guys that can stay happy
high iq ones went schizo questioning reality and the brave ones are dead when young
moral : dont seek truth just live life

You're only helpless when you genuinely believe that it is over.

The dogs who knew pressing the button would stop the shocks would push forward every single time. The ones that could not escape and then given an option to escape did not move.

Looking at this study just shows that you have to be courageous, and that is part of building character. Opposite of what you are trying to say.
