The biggest downfall with working for somebody else is you’re nothing more than a cog in a machine one slip up could cause you your entire lively hood you gotta remember these large corporations and these entrepreneurs only want to exploit you and your labor if you disobey them they’ll fire you just like that with no remorse when you sell out to a corporation your putting money in somebody else’s pocket you’re funding somebody else’s kid’s college tuition when you work for yourself you’re making yourself rich you’re benefiting of your own success that’s why everybody should thrive to be self employed

That's why you need to be an essential "cog", one that their whole "machine" can't work without.
There was a guy here who complained about his boss, he was doing all the work but didn't receive much credit for, he was in charge of their computers, network and software, using some unique stuff he specifically programmed - now this man actually had immense power, because the other guys in the IT department were morons and only knew how to do basic stuff, this man could have left and without his expertise, their whole business could have crashed, and it would have taken a huge deal of time, effort and money to rewrite all that specific software the company needed.
