Technology is progressing relatively quickly but at the end of the day we’re all just flesh and bones. However that doesn’t mean it’s a limitation. One of the biggest advantages of humanity is our ability to adapt and evolve. We just need to harness this instrument until we ascend as a species and are able to choose our own desired traits. It’s highly likely that one day we’ll reach that level thousands of years from now.
Everything will be solved with genetic engineering once we figure out the right techniques and mutations. Unattractiveness, aging, cancer, birth defects, retardation and even our short lifespans could be no longer a threat. We could even figure out how to space travel long distances and adapt to hostile environments. Eugenics is a good thing and the next step in evolution. Imagine living a healthy long life of pure bliss as a Chad with no aging at all and every girl you meet is a Stacy.
Unfortunately, it seems we are far too early for this advancement. People one thousand years from now are enjoying this without a care in the world and that’s brutal. Governments and organizations should be spending most of our resources on gene editing research. Otherwise many will die like those before us; short-lived, old and regretful.
