Disclaimer: This post will only make sense to you if you have been suicidal or are suicidal.

Throughout life, we face several hurdles. Maybe you stubbed your toe at the playground. Ok fine. Still a happy child. Maybe you didn't have a girlfriend in middle school. Ok fine. We still have high school to look forward to. As we keep getting older, we have a cycle of setback -> cope.

However, there comes a point where the milestones start becoming absurdly cumbersome. Let's say you lose your arm in a car accident. Let's say you are still a virgin after college ends. Let's say you are just so incredible ugly or unintelligent that you are inevitably in the lower third of the normal distribution.

Is is still possible to cope? Don't get me wrong - coping is a great strategy, but can we still cope? Here's how to answer that question - Can I still ascend?

Define what ascend means for you. For me, it means being 7+ in the looks category and being super successful before 35. Look at yourself in the mirror. Ask yourself what your definition of ascend is. Can you reasonably cope your way to achieving it? If you can, then continue living and never contemplate suicide. If you can't, then you know what to do.

Sidenote: The ultimate cope that is illogical is "self improvement everyday" or "you get 1% better each day". People have deeply ingrained survival instincts and they tell themselves this bullshit, so they don't kill themselves. I'm a realist. Sure, I believe in self improvement. Sure, I believe in compounding habits. These are great. But the question is - Can I ascend? You can't gaslight yourself here. Your brain knows the answer.

Glad I killed my ego many years ago. I don't give a flying fuck about people's approval anymore. You should be striving to be happy, not to make other people happy with who or what you are. Life isn't a movie where you get to play the hero. Life isn't cool, adventurous, comfortable or sexy and you don't get to live until you can be yourself without giving in to the pressure and expectations of friends, family and society. Life is ugly and a struggle for everyone. Make the best of it and get rid of the delusions attached to it. Get rid of anything that further complicates your life

agreed, but sometimes there are some expectations that are so deep-rooted that are impossible to get rid of. There's a difference between gaslighting and coping. You can't gaslight your way out of your super shit reality since your brain will say "I know you're lying nigger faggot", but your brain can cope your way out of your half-shit reality since it's plausible.

This is the truth, better to know than to oblivously walk around daydreaming about improving where there is nothing that can be done. Someting can be allways done, but in some casec, nothing short of a miricle could ascend you to 7+ chtn/chad

no thanks gonna rope anyway

christopher reeve, one of the actors that played superman back in the old days, was a rich chad and became paraplegic after falling down from his horse, yet he says it was the best thing that ever happened to him. happiness is determined by the things you value, christopher reeve was probably a simpleton who valued things like friends and family but if the only thing that mattered to him was getting bitches hed probably have roped after the accident.
