Women don’t need men to be the protectors and providers, and they’re really not that interested in men who aren’t extremely attractive

Some will settle with a regular guy and have kids, but many will not

But if I had to pick one, I think the number one reason is that people just don't want to have kids.

Both men and women want that extra time to themselves.

They would rather ask their neighbors to have 3-4 kids in their place or have the government bring in immigrants to artificially keep the population pyramid stable.

In order to have a birth rate above replacement you need polygamy. Tradcon monongamy doesn't cut it.
