We didn't create the world, we didn't create ourselves. GOD did. The question why did he create in the first place and what does he need?

Judaism is the opportunity to do something for the creator of the universe. Why are christian christians? because it bring salvation and saves you from hell. Why are muslim muslims because they get their 72 virgins in heaven? If you ask any religions person what their agenda is and what do they want they will tell you.

However ask an observant Jew why are you doing this? he has no idea. Because if you are really Jewish there is no better place heaven etc. This is the best place because you are alive at the moment and you can do do something for the creator and when you are dead the creator takes care of you.
