I see a lot of people talking about increasing potassium intake for the sake of debloating and decreasing water retention. I don't personally see too much difference with water weight fluctuating between potassium intakes but according to some people they notice results and most people under consume potassium relative to sodium so there's no harm. Excessive sodium in absence of sufficient potassium will cause water retention, potassium prevents sodium and water reabsorption and thus hypothetically help those with sodium related related bloating.

The most easy dietary change is not slamming bananas or leafy greens, while those are good foods in their own right most people dont eat enough. The simplest switch is to start using low sodium salt substitutes, also known as 'lite salt' instead of pure salt. Generic salt is ~99% Sodium chloride (NaCl) + Iodine, low sodium salt replaces a portion of the sodium chloride with Potassium chloride (KCl), the replacement % will depend on the brand but its usually in the range of 30-70% replacement.

Eaten by itself it is salty but might have a slightly bitter aftertaste, if its too much just use half regular salt and half low sodium salt in cooking you wont see a difference. Its the easiest way to get additional dietary potassium as a simple afterthought. I will say though probably do not use if you have a pre-existing heart or kidney condition and dont go insanely crazy with it because excess potassium or hyperkalemia is a real thing.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone mention low salt here although I’ll admit I don’t browse too many debloat threads
