Of course
Bolivarianism is a good idea for south america, but we still dont have the ideal geopolitical scenario to make it work, since as a continent we are still very vulnerable to economic sanctions by political rivals(such as the US etc). Boliviarian governments such as Chávez(In Venezuela) were responsible for great achievements and helped the poor for quite a long time, while struggling against international sabotage. Still, despite those good things, many Bolivarian governments didnt adopt the most needed economic measures to deal with future crisis and international sanctions + interference(Like Venezuela). The only exception to this, is the Bolivian government, which I consider the ideal boliviarian government.

I can tell you that the source of my own reticence towards 'progressive' politics is that whenever they discuss heterosexual relations they refuse to acknowledge (1) lookism as a source of inequality that we need to address, especially for men (2) men having it worse in dating tout court (3) women being scared of being a victim of violence in public from men, yet their public behaviour clearly contradicting this (4) the politicisation of women being lazy and uncaring in relationships as 'emotional labour' (5) the clearly documented 'women are wonderful' bias.

Basically, they will rightfully (I think) acknowledge women's problems (such as sexual assault and harrassment, difficulty in accessing contraception, and body shaming) but not acknowledge a single men's issue at all, not least when it comes to women giving ground and reaching some compromise. It's hard to take feminists in good faith as a result.
