the flood of new users

despite me being relatively new as well, only joining as of a few months ago, seeing the forums flooded with new users is pissing me off. i feel hypocritical saying it but it just bothers me because they all say the same tiktok shit they heard from their favorite influencer who "ascended with peptides/hormone signaling" when in reality they're lying and either grew up, softmaxxed, or got surgery.

the new users seemingly are parrots for online information and it is bothersome, even though I am not a veteran or anything myself. for some reason i view myself as higher because i came before the whole huge "tiktok wave". maybe its hubris

i kind of understand this tbh which is why i said it was probably hypocritical to say. it just seems like the new phase of tiktok users have been brainwashed cuz tiktok's "bp community" is kind of a bunch of scam products and methods, or at least more so than when it started

i guess its just like any other trend to be honest, people hop on the bandwagon and when it dies out they jump onto another trend. looksmaxxing was formerly a niche-ish community that just blew up and it was just unlucky that the tiktokcels jumped in. i think it'll end up just like when chess blew up at the beginnnig of 2020 when all the streamers were playing it if u remember; everyone was hopping on, studying theory, chatting with GMs, livestreaming their chess.com games etc. Then it eventually died out and is now at its regular state. im just gonna guess that the same will happen here. so i guess all the tiktokcels are invading now, but we will see in 2026 who stays and who was a trendhopper
