Sam Cooke

If you are Christian or Black you might've heard him because he was a Gospel singer who is remembered as the King of Soul

Widely considered the greatest vocalist of all time, Cooke possessed a pure, effortless, velvety tenor voice with a unique rasp in his upper mid-range, a remarkable pitch, and a vibrant, youthful quality

As @Dominicoon said:
it originated from a time when blacks were a decent and civilized group of people
This type of black person is not somebody you should dislike. It's the ones who've been corrupted by Hiphop culture (that include crackers and beaners)

It's oddly unsettling to see a group of black people who don't look like they want to kill you.

All black voices sound the same to me though. I will always think Layne Staley had the best vocals of all time.

the way he delivers "feed my eyes" in MITB puts him in the conversation alone

Who would you say was?
The one I have in mind is still alive. He's an American singer, criminally underrated because of a shitty past. He was inspired by the likes of Boyz II Men and Michael Bolton to name a few. Sounds superb on recordings, and even better live/IRL. He's an extremely talented singer.

From a technical standpoint you might be right. But if you include character of voice, then Sam Cooke mogs
As a stubborn wyt supremac1st, for you to say "most" and not "all", just goes to show how good he was
