we both agree there's a force holding us to the ground but whether it's gravity or something else is a different story. gravity is impossible to prove because it's just a force that we feel and see but it's impossible to say what caused it, why it came into existence, or why it continuously does what it does.

In summary, gravity is the best theory for "the force that pulls objects with mass together" but it's hard to explain anything more than that.
