Intro
Babies are always born with perfect proportions(if not for a genetical defect) but adults, more often than not, are have misshapen/recessed features, there are many reasons for this improper facial bone growth but this thread is about the effects of improper chewing and and a "soft" food diet.
Study 1: Soft Diet Deforms Skulls (Animal Evidence)
Mice raised on soft chow for 15 generations developed measurable facial changes:
Shorter anteroposterior facial dimensions
Wider but flatter arches
Laterally displaced zygomatic arches
This is the flat, recessed midface pattern seen in low-load environments.
Reference: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32754047/
despite this study being on animals it shows how in nature, if not given the right diet(soft chew) there are direct affects on the facial anatomy and bones.
Study 2: Strong Bite = Compact chad like Face (Human Evidence)
In humans, individuals with stronger bite force consistently showed:
Shorter lower face height
Flatter mandibular plane
A more compact, brachyfacial morphology
This is the forward-growth, preferable pattern. Weak bite force was associated with vertical growth and recessed jaws.
Reference: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/10512397/
Lower your eating of soft foods like bread and diary, and start eating more meat and vegtables, and if you do eat bread and diary chew as hard as you can preferably for 12 chews on each side to not cause asymerty.
