It's common in some sub-cultures. Every sub-culture is a different social skillset you have to learn, if you want to be fluent in engaging with those kind of people.

I was much edgier when I was younger and had far less experience socializing. I don't really have the urge to be edgy anymore. I still have the urge to be somewhat logical when talking to people, which is a sign of low social intelligence. Maybe I'll outgrow that too one day.

That’s why I still prefer it, if I dislike someone it’s so easy to avoid them. Even with my friends there’s no obligation, I can just shut my computer and do something else. I don’t have to worry about seeing people everyday at school and shit.
