yeah most of the deaths were a result of typhus, common diseases back in WW2, when the allies bombed trade routes to the "concentration camps" medicine for typhus wasn't given to the people there and they died from that. Another thing is that the "concentration camps" were only for prisoners of war, not random jews, all the footage they show at schools of auschwitz, is just footage of gulags in russia, which was basically what they described German camps to be like.

The red cross, which is a non profit, international movement, they take no sides in wars, and help both sides, estimated the deaths of all people, including jews, from the "concentration camps" to be 300k or so, you can read more about it in the red cross report 1650.

also zyklon B wasn't used to "gas" jews, it's used as a delousing agent, to kill lice, none of the doors were gas sealed, which means if there was toxic gas, it would have just escaped and killed germans as well, the soviets built shit after the war to try and make it seems like auschwitz was worse than it actually was.
