I used to post on this forum called Zoklet from 2010 until 2014. I joined when I was 14. I was the youngest one there, everyone else had a decade on me. The forum was shut down because the administrator got doxxed by the members and their family members were doxxed as well. Might be an interesting read for some. See link below.

There’s a spiritual successor to the forum that has been up and running since 2015, I’m still a part of it. I would share the link here but I’m not sure if it’s considered advertising. It’s got nothing to do with looksmaxxing but there’s a tight-knit community, it’s the same three people constantly making alts.

It really depends on the forum! Smosh was all fun, no harm in that. But forums Zoklet and places like 4chan have a dark side to it, I don’t think it’s healthy for most. Luckily I’m fucked up enough to go through it without problems hahaha.

Because I’ve seen the obituary. Oftentimes, people would say “X has died” but it would just be a LARP, so early on I told myself if I don’t see an obituary, it’s gonna be a LARP. Unfortunately, I’ve seen my share of obituaries, especially of users I was close to. It hits you in a way you can’t describe. Also, I had Mark on social media, his family and real-life friends left messages on his profile, and to this day, they still do. I check sometimes.

It was basically like .org’s Off-Topic, but with actual criminals, pedophiles, junkies and other degenerates. There was a subforum called Bad Ideas where they encouraged you and taught you to become a criminal; guides for stealing, creating bombs, etc. But I didn’t really post there at all, it didn’t appeal to me. I just posted in the other subforums, it was called Spurious Generalities where I was most active in.

Yep exactly. I’ve even seen effed up shit on Twitter. Usually people would be mass hysterical, instead of quietly reporting it so it gets taken down, they would direct people’s attention to the actual tweet which just meant they were increasing its exposure instead of reducing. People are dumb.

new gens won’t believe it but there was a time (before mine) when CP was freely available on reddit. i remember seeing that discussion thread when CP was banned, a reddit pedophile predicted mass censorship and the death of the internet. people clowned on him for “slippery slope” but 15 years later he turned out to be completely vindicated
