If you became famous overnight, you would be aesthetically judged by other people in direct relation to how you appear on their screens via a camera. If you don't look good in a spontaneous photo taken by someone else on a whim, you aren't truly good looking.

I see your point but actors take photos under the best conditions such as lighting, camera quality, angles etc.

If you show a random photo using a phone bathroom selfie then it would be accurate. Even then they Photoshop it.

I think most can agree on which celebrities are universally attractive after taking into consideration various different "settings", I'd say the best indicator would be getting caught off guard by paparazzi in broad daylight like so:




That's why selfies are cope imo due to lens distortion and what not, you have to view yourself on video from 10+ ft away so that everything can be taken into consideration to gauge your SMV correctly.
