Obviously if you get lucky yah, but you can slowly build wealth through i-bonds, corporate/government bonds etc etc. You can do more safe investments through s&p 500's n shut. It's legit, unless you're one of those guys that say you're dead by the time you're 50 or whatever. Which isn't that long way for some of us dudes on here.
