For people into bodybuilding, there’s a frustrating problem: how do you gain muscle without your face getting too round and puffy? It’s a dilemma that many face. On one hand, to build muscle, you have to eat more, but when you eat more, you also gain a bit of fat, and it often shows up on your face first. That kind of ruins the whole “chiseled jawline” look that most people are aiming to keep.

But if you cut back on calories to avoid that puffy face, then you don’t have enough energy to really build muscle, and you stay skinny, without gaining much size. It’s like being stuck in a tough spot: either you eat more and get chubby cheeks, or you eat less and stay too lean.

In short, it’s a real struggle to find that balance between having a sharp-looking face and building solid muscle.

Yeah, but you still need to train either way.

You dont need to eat a lot. There is research proving that you only need a slight caloric surplus to maximize muscle growth, and more than that would just result in additional fat.

And yeah with a slight surplus you will still gain a lil bit of bf% but its not like its gonna make your face THAT much puffier. In most cases its better to go through that and build muscle and then cut and preserve the muscle you built, than to just stay skinny because you wanna keep the angular jaw and is brainwashed by the blackpill community that thinks being like 4% less bf is more important than building a physique.
 
Just be lean and don't eat too many carbs like a pig. If that doesn't work, your bone structure is subhuman (like mine).
