AI is the most important technology in the history of the world
I would not be suprised if there is some indian h1b oppenheimer working on it rn
thats why elon and altman want H1B so bad
to get the indian techies like the german rocket scientists

Elon wants HB1 Visa's because he's a retard.

Elon is loosing the Ai race because he doesn't hire the best. He wants cheap labor, that's all.

Elon has thus far been able to make money by building up the brand that is Elon Musk, so that whenever he buys a new company, investor money flows in, and grows the company. But it's still a company being managed by Musk.

Companies like Open Ai and Anthropic are winning it. You don't need many algorithmic advances to get to ASI. It's mostly a matter of capital for training and learning.

I was going to make a post on Ai.

Imho the biggest bottle neck to AGI (artificial general intelligence) and ASI (artificial super intelligence) is computation.

You can see here, the trend of the cost of computation coming down for almost 100 years. And there's plenty of new technologies on the horizon to keep that trend going for at least a few more decades.

Towards the end of this decade I expect to see Ai's that are able to do many tasks an average human can do, both on the computer, and as a robot.

Towards the end of the 2030s we will have what most people consider super intelligence. That is Ai replacing the highest paid jobs, lead scientists, CEOs, and politicians.

Towards the end of the 2040s it will be clear humans are no longer in control, but we should have difficult problems solved such as nearly full aging reversal technologies, which may involve many large and small machines, such as machines to filter and regrow blood.

Humanoid robots can grow exponentially, robots building robot factories, and robots expanding the robot pipeline. I expect to see more humanoid robots than humans around the end of the 2040s.

In terms of not dying, making it to the 2050s should be every ones goal.
