STAR WARS sucks

I mean it's alright, nothing special.
The whole vibe is cool and it's a pioneer in the sci-fi genre.

But the story really isn't that great.
George Lucas isn't a good Regisseur.

There have been many times when actors told him he should change some lines and he agreed. Just shows how little thought he put into them. Also many potholes and random story holes which he needed to fix with the comics etc.

Also not a single interesting character. Darth Vader looks cool but has 0 depth. Luke Skywalker is also a really boring protagonist.

Overall, STAR WARS is pretty fun to watch, but it's not a good movie series

I am the OG Star Wars basher, get in line. It is science fiction that appeals to women simply because of the Luke/Hans/Leia love triangle storyline. And hence why it became so popular. Prior science fiction rarely had a romantic storyline.

Darth Vader looks cool but has 0 depth.
He actually has a lot of depth.

A young slave boy who was meant for more, he had to abandon his mother at 9yo to embark on a journey with total strangers to fulfill his destiny. The one stranger who believed in him died before his training started, he was then almost rejected and always distrusted by the Jedi council. His new teacher kinda hated his guts and couldn't teach him to tap into his full potential.

He couldn't save his mother from death despite his precognitive dreams, because he trusted his superiors saying they're just dreams. The trauma of losing his mother twice made him very protective of his beloved wife, who he foresaw would die, too. Desperately pleading with the supposed Jedi masters to help him, they just dismissed his fears. His fears led him into the hands of the dark side, and even when he knew better than to be seduced by it and actually told the Jedi all about it, they still distrusted him and behaved so hostile to him that he started wondering if Darth Sidious had a point. So in his confusion he saved Sidious, hoping he could teach him to save his wife from death, only to lose it all and become a broken pitbull dog for Sidious.

But in the end, when he realized his son was alive, he chose to murder Sidious in favour of his son, never forgetting that he loved him above everything else he has helped create in the past decades.

A deeply troubled boy turned man, who always tried to do the right thing, sacrificing himself for the life of his son at a moment's notice, not caring one bit about the powerful empire he has built together with Sidious. A kid broken by society, a father who felt true love, a hero who acted when it mattered.

Show me another "villain" with this much depth.

How should i watch star wars

How should i watch star wars
The original way: Episode 4, 5, 6 then 1, 2, 3.

The chronological storyline: Episode 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.

I personally prefer the 2nd these days.

Don't watch anything else, Disney sequels turned it into a crude mockery.
