Many of us have dealt with acne over the course of our life some to a worse degree then others. One thing is for certain is we all know diet and lifestyle contribute to this, however some people need to take the next step for a treatment and go to target and see a whole array of products, cleansers, moisturizers, serums, toners, BHA, AHA, Glycolic Acid, Retinoids, and much much more. I cage every time I see people posting their 5 step skincare routine and they always wonder why they can never really get clear skin.

If your diet and lifestyle are for the most part in check but you continue to struggle the only treatment you should seek is ACCUTANE(isotretinoin). But "muh side effects!" JFL at you crying about taking a derivative of vitamin A. I am currently using 10mg daily of accutane and have virtually no sides besides my lips getting occasionally dry(vaselinecel). Don't let fear mongerers steer you away from the drug being "so harsh!". Most derms prescribe anywhere from 40-80mg daily for their patients including girls who weigh 120 pounds. Additionally we see that any of the "harsh side effects"(that are typically dose and duration dependent) go away immediately after stopping treatment.

Next, there is one side effect in particular that is thrown around and that is the fusion of growth plates and we have clinical data clearly pointing this can only happen if you take high doses for a LONG duration I.E more then a year nuking your body with the drug.

"isotretinoin-induced premature epiphyseal closure and growth plate deformities seem to be linked to higher doses of isotretinoin for the duration of months to years."

"A cause-and-effect relationship between isotretinoin and premature epiphyseal closure cannot be concluded."

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34626532/ ^^^^(For my source niggas)

Lastly, accutane has been proven to upregulate collagen AND elastin in the skin. This makes this drug the ultimate mogger acne and anti-aging treatment.

My skin has never been clearer so quickly and I have even had people notice. JFL at you if you have acne and are not on accutane in 2024. Bit of a water post for some but others need this reminder as I am tired of seeing useless ass post about La roche pussy and tretinoin.

Recently, Karadag et al. reported an interesting relationship between isotretinoin use and decrease of the level of insulin growth factor-1 (IGF-I) after three months of treatment.1
It has been suggested that insulin-like growth factor type I receptor (IGF-IR) signaling interacts with androgen receptor activation.
???

Yeah I'm just coping with tazarotene which mogs tret but still isn't enough. Ill try to get isotret prescribed but they won't give it away just like that here. I could also buy it from unregulated online pharmacies but the pills are often counterfeited and likely contain toxic substances

his main worry is epiphyseal closure and side effects
if your plates are still open you would want to maximize igf-1 and ghs

JFL. The study is from 2011 and whoever it is that made the article is making ties to what causes acne. Accutane interacts with androgens on a SKIN level. We all know higher IGF-1 and more androgens cause cystic acne, this is partly why accutane is so beneficial especially for roiders. FYI if your gonna post studies use pubmed. That has no evidence of any type of testing.

thanks for the advice.
I'm wondering if I should take accutane or would it be more beneficial to wait until I'm 6,2+ (currently 5,11) then start

Good post. Look at all the copers in these replies talking about Vitamin B5 and diet.

If B5 worked nearly as well as Isotretinoin it would be used by dermatologists.

100%. Vitamin b5 is not that effective. My derm has given a script for tretinoin and aa and am using the ones from skinorac and its good. Prescription products can't have similar effectiveness compared to the OTC's.

Low carbs, low sugar

Low carbs, low sugar
Yeah diet is a big portion hence why I mentioned it. I feel wayyyyy better with less carbs mentally and physically, but when it comes to my gymcelling workouts I have to be properly satiated. Putting the steroids to use💪

Tretinoin gave me such a good complexion but I eventually got dermatitis from it unfortunately. I’m still on low dose accutane but want to try anadrol so I wanna switch to Tret eventually.

Accutane results are not permanents. One year after Accuntane it's good to use tret to maintain the effects
