When you dumb it down those calories that those people are consuming are filled with carbs(more of junk carbs) when the reality is you need to diet properly.
Carb Cycling
Carb cycling(this method is used a lot by gym goers) is the practice of eating carbs on training days while not eating carbs on rest days. I would recommend a FB split or a U/L split for this since its high frequency which means more rest days. For the carbs you can have I’d recommend complex carbs like fruits oats potatoes and rice.
Carnivore
I’m not a fan of carnivore since you will be vitamin deficient but it’s simple asf, Eat meat only.
Low-no carbs daily
I did this method for 3 days didn’t enjoy it that much but it basically means you can have other stuff than meat as long at you are <50 carbs
