I saw a 6’4” employee on the London heathrow subway station directing people and also the guy at my hotel reception was like 5’2” or something.

You don’t see this in the US at all. Everyone who is Indian/bangladeshi/Pakistani in the US is generally short 5’6” to 5’8”, but not tiny like 5’2” or giant like 6’4”

Gangetic curries are generally short it's generally North Indians and South Indians that are tall

maybe because the indians in the UK have been there longer, so they've had time to develop a more variable height profile - while the initial immigration cohort was a specific narrow subsection of heights from the upper classes, they've had time to give birth to outliers through chance and numbers

This is actually been proved in a study. 2nd generation Indian kids grow to be almost just tall as British. Diet is the number 1 factor when it comes to height this also has been proven

UK curries are far far more likely to be from lower classes.

American curries are almost universally at lowest from the middle class and most are upper middle or upper class.

Main difference I think is curries in the US have been here for max 1 generation due to the US ban on non-white immigration until recently.

yeah 100%

humans were already like 170cm + tall before the agricultural revolution, we have just min-maxxed our heights in the west because we had good diets for more than a century now
