It’s not validation or positive reinforcement. It’s because you don't want to wreck what you have going for you. The social system gives you what you want, so you want to fly under the radar and not rock the boat. So many times I'm interacting with people I just want them to stay chill and let me fuck their women. Any chumminess I'm putting out is just a reflection of the fact that the social arrangement gives me what I want and screws them. I'm being nice to avoid drawing attention or give resentment. It's about avoiding the evil eye -- more than a reflection of validation. It's not even politics. It's just the social dynamics of groups. Anyone who tries to flip out on you is basically admitting that you mog them. I'm no Chad, not even close to being one, but I kinda understand where OP is coming from.

I've experienced something like that on the internet where people could hear my voice and not see my face immediately. My voice is quite deep and it sounds good. So girls treated me in a special way, but I never acknowledged that my voice sounded nice because I was afraid of life "taking it from me", let's put it that way.

If I started telling everyone how I voicemogged them, they would start finding reasons to say my voice is not that good or whatever, so I just kept my cool and acted like I didn't even care, and it worked.
