Putin is the first leader of a very large country that is practically all white besides the native Siberians to declare war.
This has been an act primarily done by majority ethnic countries, pretty much solely African countries and middle eastern countries fighting brutal civil wars with each others or occasionally neighboring countries.
Russia, under Putin, has been engaged in a small scale ewar since 2014 with eastern ukraine, and now in 2022 we have seen the first full scale invasion. This was the first time where a world leader REPEATDLY warned the other side to not fuck with their red line , and once that boundary was crossed , Putin was a man of his word and invaded
Yes, it was delayed, but their was likely strategic logic to it. By becoming the top natural gas supplier, sanctioning russia has been difficult. Even now the SWIFT sanctions are for most things Russia and other countries trade with except oil and gas. That is the bulk of its revenue and the oil sanctions have been limited. By becoming a top energy supplier, sanctioning the enemy becomes hard cause everyone needs energy
Even before putin took office, it was clear that the U.S knew that too many former USSR states joining NATO was going to be a problem. Ukraine was the last straw as its right next to Russia and its population is big, 40 million roughly.
NATO fucked around, and now they FOUND OUT
This is contrast with that pussy trump. Trump organized a huge amount of his supporters at the capitol on Jan 6 2021, but in the end he failed to even get close to his threat of over turning the election and even with enough supporters in the capitol the efforts failed.
Putin on the other hand did not cuck out and invaded anyways
