99% of the soldiers who did the war crimes are now dead. Not a chance that your average Jap today could repeat something like that. Japan is just as xenophobic as 80% of the countries in the world. If I as a white dude go to Sri Lanka or Nigeria or some other random place I'll be discriminated just as much as any foreigner would be in Japan, the only difference being that your life wouldn't be in danger in Japan.
