I have been following China's economic and geopolitical situation closely since 2018-2019, especially when I've seen an exponential increase in anti-China propaganda news from the West (which got even worse after covid), and I became extremely skeptical of those bullshit stories that basically said nothing concrete, nothing in numbers, they were just stories from the same people doing the same articles over and over again..

What I found after more digging was a country that continues to increase its population's quality of life at a rapid pace, while managing to keep prices in key sectors such as food, gas, electricity, etc. at extremely low levels, while managing to reduce its pollution levels, and change & diversify the distribution of sectors that produce economic growth, continuing to invest heavily in education and research and development..

Not only that, but China is managing to decrease its dependence on other countries while steadily increasing its trade surplus with the rest of the planet (more and more countries depend on stuff from China in an increasing percentage, compared to China depending on other countries).

All of this, while government manages to bring down apartment prices.. (lol) so that made me realize why there's so much shit oriented strictly on China recently.. (it's pretty over for US/Europe, but we'll see these things much more clearly in the 2030-2050 period, unless some atomic bombs go off by then..)

Population decline is a global trend, it's just that in China there are a lot of old people in very rural areas where most of the young people have long since left, who will obviously die in the next 20-30 years, but they are irrelevant in the grand scheme of things..

But still, China is still very big (to fall in the near future), and if you manage to live in like Tier 3 city or bigger (with a population of 3-10 million+) 2-3 generations after your death will live well off in that city without having to go to other T2 or T1 city with a bigger population..
