Jimmy Swaggart was (and still is) a famous american evangelist preacher, perhaps the most popular and famous one in the 1980s.
In 1986, one of the most famous religious debates ever took place. Ahmed Deedat, the famous muslim debater who who even scared the Pope when he and Deedat organised a private conversation, and when Deedat tried to make it a public conversation/debate for everyone to witness it yet Vatican leader rejected such an opportunity for the world, was debating the famous preacher/televangelist Jimmy Swaggart.
In the middle of a heated debate and, why not say it, a tremendous intellectual beating by Deedat to Swaggart, the televangelist christian started to attack desperately the muslim preacher in regards to the fact that Islam allows polygamy under certain conditions.
Several years later, Swaggart, a married man commited one of the most famous cases of adultery in the american media by cheating to his wife, for which Ahmed Deedat later on answered by saying the next.
