I think life and nature is just fair, The reason why there is more suffering in modern times is because we do not obey our nature and we lie to ourselves every day by doing things that we do not need and that have no meaning in nature like not killing weak/deformed babies, not eating naturally, having meaningless slave work not having family/community values not having children etc.
