Summary of points
  1. Testosterone only has null-to-small associations with masculine personality traits and behaviors.
  2. Testosterone has no relationship with physical attractiveness in men.
  3. Testosterone may have a small association with mating outcomes for men.
  4. Testosterone, surprisingly, has no relationship with sport performance and outcomes — at least within the natural range.
  5. If your testosterone is borderline low, within the first quartile, you may see some benefits from raising it.
  6. But, the degree to which you are able to raise your testosterone, even optimistically, is limited.

Unrelated note but why is some psychology blogger using the word blackpill? :feelshaha:

I used to think the same, but I see too many inkwells claiming they've been tested high T. I think prenatal testosterone (brain masculinization) is much more important. I didn't feel any psychological changes from injecting testosterone myself but thought I'd become some based alpha.

i dont have the time to look into this meta analysis right now, but 2 notes, first off there are indications that DHT is the main masculinizing hormone, and whatever you heard about prostate cancer and hair loss is bullshit to sell you finasteride and keep you cucked, hans amato from men- elite.com just made a great article as to why androgens actually protect against prostate cancer etc, bro is a legend and will lifemax and looksmax you to oblivion with his articles, he was key in changing my life actually and he has all the credentials you could ever need.

secondly, androgen receptors absolutely matter when it comes to anything both physical and behavioral, from beard growth to muscle gains to libido bone growth assertiveness memory penis etc. androgens are life. off the top of my head black guys generally have higher androgen receptors as a race and asians have lower too i think, explains a lot really specially dickpill voicepill etc. iv read enough articles to know that without either enough prenatal T/DHT or pubertal T/DHT, you are beta by nature. maybe maxxing out adult T can still save u idk. jfl if u think T is about ogreemaxxing when all the famous prettyboys and psl gods with perhaps v rare exceptions have clear indications of high testosterone in their face. then again yes, there's more pieces to the puzzle and dimorphism is only one aspect of looks and behavior.

It's all genetic G. I'd gladly have some high IQ debunker rip apart that article, that's why I posted it here.

Ok, the main problem, as always, with these "studies" is that they sleect a group of men and then measure the correlation of testosterone levels with certain traits. Because of that, these studies only have a STATISTICAL MEANING, and don't actually clinically prove anything. There is no control for other factors like age and lifestyle which completely discredits any clinical application. These studies are just mixing apples and oranges.

If you wanted to do a genuine study you would have to measure these paramters on a group of men BEFORE AND AFTER increasing their testosterone. They would have to be the SAME PEOPLE, that's absolutely crucial for proving anything.

Also notice how 90% of the people selected actually have low testosterone (below 1000 ng/dl). They barely included any men with actual high testosterone, so this category is completely unexplored by the "study".

I think the issue is that there possibly isn't a significant correlation between testosterone sensitivity and testosterone levels which is why there isn't any strong correlations in the studies. I think it's interesting though that none of these studies exclude people with poor health who'd have low T and would measure poorly on these criteria measured for that reason, yet this doesn't create correlations with being high T.

i think there is good evidence ( not entirely conclusive ) that the limit is genetic and it makes sense that polymorphisms and such would cap out the potential, but then again epigenetic expression matters without a single shred of doubt and it matters intergenerationally too. there are countless factors that affect how genes unfold, how they are read by the body, how they interact with the enviroment etc.
inb4 : ramirez ate nothing but candy and still looks like that, candy and sugar is actually a mogger food that improves mineral balance no matter what lies you heard, and if one has good gut health he can produce many vitamins endogenously and we are only recently uncovering that, and i doubt we actually know exactly what he ate. severe trauma, lack of sunlight, sleep, protein and deficiencies during puberty can absolutely stunt even a gigachad, but the human body is very resilient when young and when you have rare freak genetics you can endure a fuckton of damage, on the other hand a low prenatal T guy needs to go above and beyond during puberty to potentially even have a shot at compensating

not a gram of that

it's not about how much you have it's about how sensitive you are to what you have.
