We did it to ourselves, no other people had a high like ours did. In the 1890s we were around 33-37% of the global population and now we’re only around 6%. We purposely stopped imperialism, not because we couldn’t but just chose to stop. Less kids, while at the same time industrialising and feeding the brown world in our colonies and acts of Christian charity. If any other people had the global dominance we had they wouldn’t lose it because they’d start killing and doing whatever they can to damage the other peoples of the earth. Yes, they can build up, but that takes time. The longer it takes the more market share, and intelligence gain companies like Open Ai and Anthropic will have.

China's government is building a huge super computer for Ai, and so is the United States government. So we'll see.

China also has some good Ai and robotics companies, so we'll see how it plays out.

I can't call a winner, because the only thing that really matters is who wins the Ai race. And China if its smart, will try to steal trade secrets from Open Ai with hacking, and they will muster all of their resources they can.

The U.S. government will try to protect Open Ai and Anthropic from hacking but what they can do to protect them is limited.

And that's if those companies even have trade secrets left. People have already made a open sourced version of what algorithms they think gpt-o is using under the surface. Not to mention the leakage of trade secrets that has already occurred with people leaving Open-Ai.

The winner may come down to compute. Which company devotes more compute the the problem, and if we see diminishing returns (Diminishing returns on intelligence will likely be in the Realm of super intelligence). We could see a multi-polar world with a balance of power.

What I'm expecting more of less is power to balance out and a more unified world government to emerge. Ai will be able to coordinate and negotiate between countries much better to avoid more wars (costly for both sides) and come to more cooperative solutions.

It was human intelligence that allowed us to cooperate at such massive scales as entire countries. Super intelligence will only enhance this cooperation between countries of roughly equal power.
